Friday November 21, 7:00pm Mansfield University's Concert Wind Ensemble
Next Friday Mansfield University's Wind Ensemble will be closing their 2008 tour with a public performance at Pocono Mountain East High School on Friday Nov.21 at 7 PM. The Wind Ensemble is the elite performing instrumental ensemble at Mansfield University. They have performed at the PMEA state convention numerous times and have toured all over Pennsylvania and New York states.
This is one concert not to miss. The concert is free and open to the public!!

Concert Wind Ensemble - A select group of approximately 48 woodwind, brass, and percussion players who perform wind and percussion literature. The MU Concert Wind Ensemble performs four to five times annually on campus. In addition, the ensemble tours for three days during the Fall semester and performs at regional conventions and special events." Membership is not limited to music majors, but an audition is required. Recent literature performed by the group includes Joseph Schwantner's "and the mountains rising nowhere," James Barnes "Symphony No. 3," David Maslanka's "A Child's Garden of Dreams," Johann de Meij's "Symphony No. 1 Lord of the Rings," and Paul Hindemith's "Symphony in Bb."
